Slow Motion · Pause
OverAnim lets you control how effects behave during global Time Dilation and Pause on a per-Component basis.
Slow Motion
Use Set/Get Slow-Motion Effect Timing to select one of the following policies.
| Policy | Behavior |
|---|---|
Follow Game Time |
Follows game Time Dilation as-is. |
Ignore Time Dilation |
Advances OverAnim effects in real time. |
Disable During Slow Motion |
Disables OverAnim effects during Slow Motion. |
When Slow Motion ends, use Set/Get Slow-Motion Return Behavior to choose whether to return to the Source Pose immediately or Blend Out.
Pause
Set/Get Pause Behavior determines the pose after Pause begins.
| Policy | Behavior |
|---|---|
Freeze Current Silhouette |
Freezes the current deformed silhouette. |
Return To Source Pose |
Stops the deformation and returns to the Source Pose. |
Finish Existing Effects In Real Time |
Rejects new input and finishes only effects that have already started, using real time. |
No new Motion Stage or Signal input is generated while paused. Finish Existing Effects In Real Time only completes existing Responses; it does not accept new Responses.
Use Set/Get Pause Return Behavior to configure behavior when Pause ends.
Checking State
Are OverAnim Effects Active returns the final result after accounting for the Component switch, global switch, and Slow Motion suppression. Instead of manually toggling the effect before sending a Signal, inspect this return value together with your logs to isolate state-related problems.
